You are invited to a Lenten Study on Tuesdays during Lent beginning at 10:30 AM. The study will be hosted on a rotating basis by Rosemary UMC, New Hope UMC, and Littleton UMC.
The study will be based on the book "The Last Supper: Conversations That Led to the Cross” by William H. Willimon. In the study, we will travel with Jesus on the road to Jerusalem in this profound six-week Lenten study that explores the parables and stories Jesus told at tables along the way to his final meal. Will Willimon invites readers to experience how these table stories―about searching shepherds, welcoming hosts, prodigal sons, and rejected invitations―illuminate the deeper meaning of the Last Supper and Christ's sacrifice.
A bishop in the United Methodist Church, Professor Willimon served as the dean of Duke Chapel and professor of Christian ministry at Duke University for 20 years.
Tuesday, Feb. 24th — 1st session at Rosemary UMC
Tuesday, March 31st — 6th & final session at Littleton UMC
You do not have to purchase the book to join the study, but it is available in ebook and paperback at the Cokesbury store, Amazon, Barnes & Noble.
